BTE offer a programme designed for students from years 9 to 11. An alternative provision for students unable to attend mainstream education. From 1 day per week to 5 days per week attendance provision is offered to students to allow them to work towards and achieve qualifications in preparation to progress into Further Education/Training/Employment. Work experience can be offered to Key Stage 4 as part of this programme to allow students to gain experiences of the working world. Students attend BTE centre to work towards their qualifications with one to one support and carry out practical based activities in our fully functional salon to complete a Hairdressing Certificate and a gym to complete a Sports Certificate.
As our class sizes are smaller than those in mainstream education students have the opportunity to work closer with the tutors and gain more one to one support which helps them gain confidence in their work and build relationships. Life skills are an essential part of attending BTE and tutors ensure that students leave at the end of year 11 fully equipped to face the next step.

BTE is able to offer a stable and secure environment to all students. A small class size allows supports for all students. Onsite counsellor available to all students should they require personal support.
