KS3 & KS4 Short Term Provision
We offer an opportunity that allows students to remain engaged with English and Maths along with community projects, whilst taking time away from school.
Duration and Timings
Students can be referred from 1 to 5 days per week for a maximum of 6 weeks.
Students will be required to attend from 9.30am – 3pm each day.
Students should bring a packed lunch with them. Students who are entitled to free school meals will be provided a meal and this will be invoiced to the school at the end of the programme.
Students can be referred at any time as it is a rolling programme. It is very flexible in that students can do as many or as few days per week, depending on their, and the customer’s, individual requirements.
Each day is structured to include one hour online lessons of both Maths and English. The lessons are created based on the main skills of the curriculum and are not exam board specific. This programme does not include coursework, examinations or a qualification. The projects will ensure community engagement along with enrichment activities.
Nisai Outreach Provision
The Nisai Outreach Programme provides a personalised, nurturing learning programme for young people who have become disengaged within a mainstream setting, and who are struggling with learning due to social, emotional and behavioural issues. The programme blends online learning which is delivered through the Nisai Virtual Academy and a 1:1 with a personal support worker who will also address the individual needs of each young learner to enable them to reintegrate back into mainstream learning.
A full timetable is arranged and when students are not in lessons, the mentor will take the learner to do community projects, activities and work on behaviour strategies etc.
Nisai Personalised Learning Support Programme (PLSP)
The Personalised Learning Support Programme is specifically for young people who require face-to-face, additional support in addition to their online learning programme. The provision is based on learners who may need support in lessons, help with assignments, or to have additional support with any behavioural or emotional requirements facilitated by other professional organisations.
