HEADING FOR GOAL (HFG) – Notts County Foundation

Price £120

HFG is an innovative programme that uses football and sport to engage young people, address their learning needs and create better futures for young people in Nottingham.

We aim to provide a safe and comfortable learning environment for young people and ensure they receive the utmost support and care during all lessons and activities. We believe young people should be given every opportunity to learn. Sport breaks down barriers and introduces common ground between people who may otherwise not be able to find it.

HFG has been specifically designed to encourage improved behaviour and further progress in learning among our longer-term learners with complex needs. Working within our unique programme young people develop a greater awareness and sense of responsibility for their own behaviour.

We have a dedicated education team who have developed effective techniques to help manage and engage disaffected learners through experience of working on HFG and as a result of specialist, regular training.

Our aim is to ensure that all young people that we work with make sustained progress over a period of time. We also aim to get all young people at KS4, to a point of being prepared and ready to take their exams.
