What’s on offer?
QMX Academy provides creative, personalised education for Key Stage 3 and 4 learners who need support beyond the mainstream classroom. Our provision combines academic learning with hands-on, project-based sessions in art, design, enterprise, and horticulture, helping students develop confidence, creativity, and practical life skills.
Learners explore art and design through fun, hands-on creative projects; learn the basics of business, from budgeting to branding; and get outdoors to build gardening and teamwork skills that support wellbeing. Alongside this, we deliver Functional Skills, helping students strengthen everyday communication and problem-solving.
We specialise in working with young people who experience social, emotional, or behavioural barriers to learning, providing small group and 1:1 sessions in a supportive, inclusive environment. Led by Joseph Hall, an experienced mentor and educator with over 20 years in alternative education, QMX Academy’s key strengths include an inclusive ethos, creative teaching methods, and a nurturing approach that helps learners reconnect with education and progress towards further learning, training, or employment.
